Here are a few of our most frequently asked questions - if the information you're looking for isn't here please get in touch and we'll get back to you in a jiffy!

What time is check-in and check out?

At the 3 Star Damaso Hotel Rome we usually like guests to check out by 11.00am on the day of departure so that we can get the room ready for new guests to check in after 2.00pm, however, if these times do not suit your travel arrangements, simply get in touch and we'll organise for your luggage to be stored safely and securely for you, free of charge.

Is the Damaso Hotel child-friendly?

Absolutely. Our fully restored noble residence offers a warm and welcoming ambiance and children up until 2 years old can sleep for free in the parents' bedroom. We don't have any facilities on the premises for children to play in but our concierge team can certainly assist you in finding great entertainment for them here in the Italian capital.

Who was San Damaso?

San Damaso, or Saint Damasus as he's known in English, was Pope of the Catholic Church when the Roman Empire officially switched to Christianity as its religion in the 4th Century (CE). Right by the Damaso Hotel you'll find the Church of San Damaso, although his remains are thought to be somewhere on the outskirts of Rome near the Via Appia.

How does the best rate guarantee work?

Right now you're on the official website of the Damaso Hotel Rome and when you check rates and availability here on our real time booking system we guarantee you the best price available. Although it's possible to book our rooms through 3rd party sites such as Booking or Trivago, it's us that set the prices, and no third party has authorisation to sell our rooms cheaper than we do.

Isn't it more secure to go through a well-known site like Trivago?

In a word, no. Our online booking system uses the same level of encryption to protect your privacy and your credit card details. What's more, you're dealing directly with us, so if you need to cancel or modify your booking or simply request flowers to await you in the room, you simply contact us using the link on your confirmation email.

How are the public transport links around the Damaso Hotel?

To be honest, here in the heart of the historical centre the only public transport is buses or taxis - we're nowhere near a metro. As mentioned on our Location page though, we're not far from Trastevere Station, from where you can get a direct train to Fiumicino Airport. More to the point though, the most magical and beautiful wonders of Rome are within walking distance of our accommodation.

Do you have a restaurant?

Unfortunately not, we thought with the thousand-or-so that are currently open in the historical centre you were probably already spoilt for choice. A modestly sized city centre 3 Star hotel, the Damaso Hotel Rome doesn't have a swimming pool, gym or golf course either. Breakfast is included in the room rate however and is served in our elegantly-styled breakfast room from 7.00 till 10.00am.

Is your hotel suitable for disabled guests?

Yes it is, the Damaso Hotel Rome is fully accessible for guests of reduced mobility and we have two rooms specifically designed for clients with such concerns - please contact us to discuss your needs and we'll be happy to put your mind at rest.
